Others ways I can help include:

Early Help

I am the lead Early Help Practitioner at Iveson. Early help brings together professionals who will work with the whole family to try and improve things for everyone. This will involve an Early Help Assessment.

The EHA is a simple way to help identify needs of children and families and make a plan to meet those needs. Its purpose is to provide a co-ordinated response so no-one misses out on the support they may need.

Food Bank

I am an authorised distributer of food bank vouchers for the Leeds North and West Foodbank on behalf of Trussell Trust. Trussell Trust foodbanks provide a minimum of three days’ emergency food and support to people in crisis. Please speak to me for further details.

Parent Group

Along with the Family Support Workers from the ESNW Cluster, I am a trained facilitator in the strengthening Families Strengthening Communities programme, as part of this we deliver WE ARE FAMILY.  This is a 6-week parent group which runs throughout the year, for parents & carers of children from 2-16yrs old. The next session is due to start on 19th April, here at Iveson Primary, 5.30 – 7.30.

We will soon be running a ‘Fun with Games’ Family Learning Course, A ten week, fun packed course designed to help parents support their children’s numeracy skills, more details to follow shortly.

Additional Information

Mrs Scott
Mrs ScottFamily Support Worker
I am the Family Support Worker and Learning Mentor at Iveson. My role in school is to provide support, advice and information to the families within our school community. I can help you with any worries that you may have in relation to your child’s education, behaviour and well being. I am also here as someone to talk to if you need it. I may not have all the answers but hopefully I can help you to work out how to find them.
I love the diversity of my role, I get to support children across all the key stages but I also have the pleasure of getting to know and support their families.
