Important information

At any point during the absence a home visit may take place. (In line with safeguarding procedures we may ask to see your child)

Absences may not be authorised without evidence if a pupil’s attendance is below 96%.

Leave in term time will not be authorised*
*Unless there are exceptional circumstances and the Headteacher uses their discretion.

If you require leave in term time you must request this in writing by completing our leave in term time request form, which can be obtained at the school office. This is to be done prior to any absence or booking that made need to be made.

Please remember that school starts at 8.50am and your child should be in school for this time every day.

It is a parent’s responsibility to ensure their child attends School regularly. We aim for at least 96%, in line with the government guidance.

We reward children for excellent attendance every Term (Autumn, Spring and Summer) with a special treat, ideas are always welcomed by the children so this can vary from term to term.

Each year every child who achieves 96% attendance and above is invited to our Big Summer Event, this is TBC as we are asking the children what they would like.

Super September – Every child who achieves 100% throughout the month of September receives a reward, this is usually a movie and pizza night at school.

Jump into January – Every child who has a total of 96% attendance or above for the whole academic year up to the end of January will receive a reward.

Just do it July – This is where we have a big push on attendance to find out who will be invited to the end of year attendance event.

To help parents / carers keep up to date with their child’s attendance we send out half termly registration certificates.
