Hi, I am Mrs de Klerk and the class teacher of Swifts.
My passions are music, maths, conservation, history, Spanish and all things theatrical. I have recently returned ‘home’ with my husband and two daughters, after 10 awesome years in South Africa. I feel privileged to be part of the Iveson Community.
I began working at Iveson Primary School in September 2013.
I have worked in schools for 12 years, either as refugee councillor, learning mentor, year 7 form tutor, and unqualified teacher in secondary schools. After having my twin girls in 2009 I began to work with primary aged children as an HLTA in an autism unit, and in year 3 at St Margaret’s primary school. I then trained to be a teacher at Meanwood primary school in 2011, and spent my NQT year at Armley Primary school, moving to Iveson in 2013.
