I am the Assistant Head and Curriculum Lead for Iveson.
I am also the leader for KS1 and the Early Years. I teach in the Early Years where play drives learning. I pride myself on knowing each individual child and understanding what will drive them forward.
I believe that all children are talented but they develop at different stages. It is my job to find these talents and nurture them.
This is my fourth year teaching at Iveson Primary school following my PGCE at Leicester University with Early Years as a specialism. I teach Reception and am very fortunate to work alongside a fantastic team .
I have a passion for teaching in the Early Years Foundation stage and love to see the children develop their independence, confidence and skills during their first few years at school.
I joined the Iveson team as a year one teacher in 2012. I have also taught in both year two and year four at Iveson, however I have spent most of my time in year one. This year I am really looking forward to joining the Early Years team and supporting the children to develop their enthusiasm for learning right at the beginning of their learning journey. I work part time, so you will see me on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week.
This is my second year teaching at Iveson Primary and it’s very exciting to be working as part of such a close knit team. I did my BA in Primary Education (Ages 3-7) at Roehampton University, and specialised in Science. Outside of school I love to paint miniature figures.
